As we go through life, we are bound to face tough times that test our patience, strength, and faith. It can be challenging to keep going when everything seems to be falling apart. When we face challenging times, it’s easy to get caught up in negative emotions and lose sight of the bigger picture. However, we must remember that every challenge we face is an opportunity for growth and development. We can learn from our struggles and become stronger, more resilient individuals. We can choose to be shaken or shaped by the challenges we face.
As believers, we must hold onto the fact that God is a faithful God. He has promised us in His Word that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), and we can trust that His Word is true. Even though the current times we live in are tough and filled with despairing news, we must remember that God is good and faithful. You, my friend, may have experienced difficult times in your life, but God remains faithful and will never abandon you.
You Can Persevere Through
In Deuteronomy 33:25, it is written, “…and as your day, so shall your strength, your rest and security, be.” This verse tells us that our days will be strengthened, and we will have rest and security. The words “And as your day” refer to the times we are living in – the present day. We all face challenging times, but if we set our minds, hearts, lips, and feet on God and His Word, we shall be strengthened. God is always there to support and sustain us, no matter what. This verse reminds us that we have the strength to persevere through difficult times.
“I once came across a quote by the famous revivalist Vance Havner, “Sometimes your medicine bottle has on it, “Shake well before using.” That is what God has to do with some of His people. He has to shake them well before they are ever usable.” Have you ever felt shaken? Oh, I have!
God Strength Will Guide You
Reflect on your past and see how far you’ve come with God’s help. Although you may be in the midst of what feels like you are being shaken up, you can overcome it. If you had faced this challenge you are currently in, in the past, you might not have had the strength to overcome it. But because of the experiences you have faced before, you can face this current situation with greater strength and resilience. God has been with you through previous storms, and He is with you now to prepare you for what’s to come. He has a bright future planned for you, and you can take comfort in knowing that you will have the strength to face any future challenges. Whether you’re currently facing a storm or a burden, God’s strength will guide you through it. You can rest assured that you are in the hands of the Almighty God who has already strengthened you for this moment and will continue to strengthen you in the future.
Ultimately, the message of Deuteronomy 33:25 is one of hope and encouragement. No matter how tough the times may seem, we can overcome any obstacle by keeping our eyes on our Heavenly Father and trusting He is with us. He will help us to persevere through even the most challenging situations. The storms that come into our lives can either shake or shape us. The choice is ours.
